The Draper Corporation Demolition

The Draper Corporation was once the largest manufacturer of cotton power looms in the world. Located in Hopedale, Massachusetts, the Draper Corporation helped to power the industrial revolution and all that grew from the economics of the era: wealth for some, enslavement for others, and environmental degradation on a massive scale. The Corporation operated from the 1830's through the 1970's employing thousands. Empty since then, the demolition of its one million square feet of space began in the fall of 2020 and was nearly complete as of October 2021.
